Aspen took some pictures of Carolina throwing up some blooms from the desert willow tree. I visited makeagif.com to turn them into this funny gif file.

We finally visited the lavender farm of Danny and Laurie Davis, Thistle Dew Farms. We missed their special event on June 6. They have everything fixed up so cute. We had a lot of fun. The girls learned how to weave a lavender wand and all the ladies got a bouquet of lavender to take home. Later Guy and Di Ann Campbell showed up, too, and we got to visit with them.

Everyone was geared up to round up and brand some calves today. The cowboys were there, the horses were there, the former cowboys were there, the helicopter was there, the girls were there. Unfortunately, the cows weren’t there. There were several problems that couldn’t be overcome that morning, so we had to reschedule. However, we did get some good photos and video.
If you haven’t seen it, here’s the link to the amazingly romantic video short of the recent “wedding of the century II” put together by videographer, Caleb Phipps.

Driving home last night from Levelland, we pulled in to the Silver Falls roadside park between Crosbyton and Dickens on Hwy 70. It was about to get dark, but we took a quick look around.
The falls were quite swollen from recent rains.
Nathan had been thinking about bringing the kids here, so we decided that if it rained again in the night making it too wet for him to work, then we would come back on Monday with a picnic lunch.

We had a fun time visiting the Brashears over in Levelland and wishing their nephew Christopher and new wife Cami a happy marriage. The menu featured BBQ brisket and all the trimmings. Their beautiful party barn and outdoor space was the perfect place for entertaining.
As the party was breaking up, approaching storms were darkening the western skies. When we got to Lubbock, this incredibly awesome shelf cloud was covering the skies.
