Christmas Caroling

Tuesday, December 23 –

A group of young people braved the freezing weather tonight to visit a few homes around town and do some caroling. When they got back, the ladies of the church had snacks and hot drinks ready. They sang a couple of songs for us. Very lovely. Afterwards, they stayed late and played cards and games for a while.

On the way to church tonight I captured this sunset on my phone.

After parking at the church, it had become even more intense.

Christmas Beds

During their Christmas visit to Texas, Jordan and Atlanta still had to keep working on their home business. They make vintage-style metal doll beds and photo-prop beds and the mattresses and bedding for them. They got flooded with orders only a few weeks before Christmas. Here’s an example of boxes going out in the mail today.

Tongue River Ranch

Sunday, December 14 –
After church and lunch, Nathan took us driving around to see some country that we hadn’t seen before. We saw some beautiful places, some old houses and ended up near the headquarters of the historic Tongue River Ranch. For more information on this ranch, click here.

The Red Wagon

Tuesday, December 9 –

The weather’s been so fine and Marian enjoys being outside, so we’ve been giving her rides in the kid’s old wagon. The door is off, and the seats are cracked or missing, but with a few pillows, it’s perfect for Marian…and Coconut (who doesn’t miss a chance to ride).

Figuring Out Christmas

Marian’s first Christmas gift was an ornament from great Aunt Debra and great Uncle Chris Shannon. We filmed her as she opened it.
