Robin Boedeker came by this morning. She brought a scrumptious breakfast casserole and some very yummy muffins. What a treat!

This lone thunderhead had the panhandle radar all to itself. When I first started taking pictures, it was more compact. It apparently started to build again as the evening wore on and grew larger as a column of the boiling cloud formed a new tower. It eventually took up the whole southeastern sky. It must have been over the Paducah area.
This is how it appeared at first notice.
As the sun started to go down, orange highlights began to appear on the thunderhead.
The setting sun, which was already below our view of the horizon, was still highlighting one small area on the topmost part of the cloud. It was truly awe inspiring. Although this is an amazing photo, it doesn’t capture the grandeur by half. I wish you could have been there.
Breathtaking clouds tonight. The evenings have been so beautiful lately with the smell of the moist ground in the air.

Tonight after the boys got in from work, we had a special dinner in honor of Laredo.
Atlanta made some meatballs and a yummy alfredo pesto sauce
Aspen made the wacky chocolate cake
We didn’t get homemade ice cream accomplished, so we cheated and had Nathan bring some from town.

Yesterday afternoon we set up the pool and started filling it. Today it’s gotten deep enough to swim.
Poor Marian, she’s just too kissable!
Stockton is pretending to be Caesar.
He even made himself a laurel for his head!

This afternoon Nathan was plowing and caught this little rabbit. Aspen and Carolina had fits over it, of course.

We squeezed Marian into the bathroom sink for an impromptu bath. She didn’t care that it was a bit crowded, she loves water so.
