Goodbye Goodwins

Monday, January 12 –

A sad day at the Shannon’s. Atlanta, Jordan and Marian had to go home. It had been a wonderful visit, and longer than we had hoped for, but we didn’t want it to end.

Harvest Evening

Saturday, January 10 –

The boys have been helping a friend of ours strip his cotton. They were working hard today trying to get finished up. I offered to pick up Courtney since Cim was busy. I brought her to where they were working so she could see the process. On the way back to the ranch, I kept stopping to take pictures of the sky and countryside. It was very cold and windy, but I just couldn’t pass up so much beauty. I only had my camera phone, but it still captured some great shots.

Evening with Desarae

Thursday, January 8 –

Tonight we all enjoyed getting to visit with Desarae, even though she particularly came over to see Atlanta again before she went back to Tennessee.

Harvest Moon

Sunday, January 4 –

Okay, so it’s not exactly traditional harvest time, but the cotton harvest is still going on, so I can call it a harvest moon if I want to. It has all the characteristics; big, yellow, round, full…

These pictures speak for themselves. These two became pretty tight during the Christmas visit.

Meeting My Cousins Halfway

Saturday, December 27 –

We traveled to Halfway, Texas today to visit family and meet my cousin to pick up his daughter so she could come home with us for a few days. It’s so fun to catch up with everyone. I really enjoyed seeing several cousins and their families that I hadn’t seen in a long, long time.

Lubbock Sky

Friday, December 26 –

Shots of the Lubbock sky that I took as we left town. After all, I guess Northfield doesn’t have a monopoly on beautiful sky photos.
