Things You Don’t See Everyday

A few interesting shots from our recent trip to Tennessee. How many of these things have you seen?

Rattlesnake at Sunset

Monday, September 1, 2014 –

I headed outside to take some pictures of the sky. I was wearing my flip-flops and looking up, and noticed something a couple of feet from my foot out of the corner of my eye as I walked along. A rattlesnake was stretched out, totally oblivious of my presence. Maybe he was enjoying the evening, too. Unfortunately for him, I hollered for someone to bring a gun. Cim responded first, but then let Laredo do the honors because he had a better gun for the job. Needless to say, the snake’s evening ended on a bad note. But, I did get some great pictures of the clouds and sunset in the end.

Puppy Update

Wednesday, August 27 –

The puppies are really growing. They still don’t have their eyes open, but that doesn’t stop them from scooting around the room when mom’s not looking. They are five days old.

Trip to Tennessee

Saturday, August 23, 2014 –

What a fun trip. We had lots of fun visiting, swimming, and running around Atlanta and Jordan’s neck of the woods for almost 10 days. Scroll through the pictures and see what all we were up to.

Coconut Has Puppies!

Friday, August 22, 2014 –

During the night, Coconut had four puppies. Two males and two females. She’s full blood Shih Tzu and the father is a Yorkie. So these will be “Shorkies”!

New Horse for Carolina

Some friends of ours had an older horse that they were no longer using, so they’re letting us enjoy him for a while. His name is Radar. Carolina has kind of claimed him, I guess.

Last of the August Skies – (updated!)

Since I’m so behind in my posting, I’m putting all the rest of the August sunrises, cloud pics and sunsets together. If you like to look at clouds, you’ll love this. If not, just skip it.

Yet Another Sunset Post

Monday, August 11, 2014 –

I’m sorry to keep posting sky photos, but it’s been a couple of summers since we’ve had so many nice clouds, and a good sunrise/sunset is 90% clouds. Today was another show-stopper. The first pictures are the sunrise this morning, and then come the sunset pictures. I had to hike into the pasture for the best shots.
