Evening Walk

Tuesday, June 17, 2014
The evening was so pleasant that we took a little stroll after the dishes were done. We didn’t get to walk far. Marian was more interested in the sand and grass.

Bath Time

Thursday, June 12, 2014

We squeezed Marian into the bathroom sink for an impromptu bath. She didn’t care that it was a bit crowded, she loves water so.

At the Creek with Marian

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

The day after they arrived, Atlanta, Jordan and Marian went down to the creek with us to help watergap. (This is what you call checking the fences that cross the creeks and rivers. Very often after a rain, the fences wash out and have to be put back up so cattle won’t get onto someone else’s ranch.) When we go watergapping, the guys have to work, but we get to play! The creek is the perfect place for kids. Water, sand, fish, critters, rocks, shells, etc. Here’s a little video of Marian having a great time in the water.

A Dose of Marian

Tuesday, April 15

In an attempt to cover up some of the pain and anger you’re probably feeling on this dreaded tax day, how about a few pictures sure to make you smile? Remember, a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down…

Atlanta reports that Marian has at least four rolls on her thighs now…as you can see from the picture.

The Backpack

Monday, April 7, 2014

When I was raising my babies, I discovered that they really liked to ride in a backpack. They were always so curious as to what I was doing, and they didn’t particularly like to swing or sit for too long. However, in the backpack, they stayed very contented and happy.

Since Atlanta was having trouble keeping Marian happy while she worked, I packed up my old backpack and sent it to Tennessee. She’s been sending me a few pictures of the little darling enjoying her new status as head papoose.

Atlanta says the only problem is that it tends to put her to sleep every time. But if you’re careful, you can slip out of the backpack and set it down on its legs without waking up the sleeping baby.
